You're trying to use an asset (audience, Pixel, Page, or catalog) that belongs to a different Business Manager than the one your ad account is in. Assets don't automatically share across Business Managers.

What causes this error?

You’re trying to use an asset (audience, Pixel, Page, or catalog) that belongs to a different Business Manager than the one your ad account is in. Assets don’t automatically share across Business Managers.

How to fix it

  1. Share the asset: The Business Manager that owns the asset must explicitly share it. Go to Business Settings > [Asset Type] > select the asset > click ‘Share’ > add the partner Business Manager ID.
  2. Accept the share: The receiving Business Manager must accept the share request in their Business Settings.
  3. Use the correct BM: If both assets are supposed to be in the same Business Manager, check that your ad account hasn’t been accidentally moved or shared to a different BM.
