What causes this error?

The video you uploaded exceeds the maximum duration allowed for the selected ad placement. Different placements have different limits—Stories allow 15 seconds, Reels up to 90 seconds, and Feed placements up to 240 minutes.

How to fix it

  1. Trim your video: Cut the video down to fit the placement’s maximum duration. For multi-placement campaigns, create separate cuts for each placement type.
  2. Check placement requirements: Stories = 15s max, Reels = 90s max, In-Stream = 15s recommended, Feed = 240 min max.
  3. Use Asset Customization: In Ads Manager, use placement-level asset customization to assign different video lengths to different placements within the same ad.
