What causes this error?

The attribution/conversion window you selected doesn’t align with the optimization event or campaign objective. For example, selecting a 1-day click window for an event that typically takes 7+ days to convert.

How to fix it

  1. Match window to conversion cycle: If your product has a long consideration period, use 7-day click, 1-day view. For impulse purchases, 1-day click works fine.
  2. Check Pixel data: Look at your Events Manager to see the average time between ad click and conversion for your specific event. Let that data guide your window selection.
  3. Start broad: When in doubt, use the default 7-day click, 1-day view window. You can narrow it later once you have sufficient conversion data.
