What causes this error?

Amazon purposely blocks you from creating exact duplicates of active entities. They do this to protect you from accidentally bidding against yourself in their internal ad auctions!

How to fix it

1. Check the existing Ad Group or Campaign to see if this ad group is already active there.
2. If the old one is archived and you need a new one, you might have to slightly adjust the name or match type to bypass the exact-match filter.
